David is managing director of Electric Fox and has been working in the events logistics industry since 1991. Whether it’s an oil show in Baku or a food show in Jeddah, Electric Fox does everything to help make event participation a success: from helping select the right event, space booking, stand design, visas, logistics, temporary import, warehouse storage, on-site handling & local coordination. Electric Fox has the local expertise in most of the emerging & challenging markets.

Take the example of Saudi Arabia. In 2016 it announced its strategy for growth, Vision 2030, and supported it with a multi-billion dollar National Investment Plan. After years of being a bureaucratic and difficult country to deal with, yet with almost no homegrown industry to talk about, it is suddenly focused on diversification, localization and small business development. The Kingdom is investing significantly in healthcare ($18.5 billion annually over the next 10 years), food security, logistics and components manufacturing. The same story can be told about Egypt, Congo, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Iran. The lifting of UN sanctions on Iran last year reconnects a potentially vibrant emerging economy to world markets, with the allure of a bonanza for international and local investors and a brighter future for a restive young population.
